For over 40 years, Earl Pitts entertained listeners on the radio in all the big and small cities. Earl Pitts, American, was the brainchild of Cincinatti, Illinois disc jockey, Gary Burbank. Gary was the voice & character of Earl Pitts up until his retirement in 2020, due to health reasons. Earl’s commentaries, however, continued after his retirement, being edited to keep the show current. In 2024 after much thought by the network syndicator, it was decided that Earl Pitts be retired from his weekday radio commentaries. The last day his features were produced was January 26th, 2024. Thank you to all of Earl’s many loyal fans who have made him the man he is. Earl has many of his rants available from Laughing Hyena so you can keep his Redneck humor alive. Earl also has a subscription service so all of his fans can listen to him wherever they are and whatever device they want to listen on. Plus you can listen to commentaries from as far back as 2018 (probably more will be added over time), there are plenty of options for your subscription… monthly, yearly & founding member. We wish Earl all the best and… PITTS OFF!
Now that Earl has retired, he’ll spend a little more time on the creekbank wetting a line. But before he retired completely from his radio commentaries, he spent some time with Kentucky Afield host Tim Farmer for some farm pond fishing in Mason County, KY. Enjoy Burbank’s take on the opinionated Earl Pitts and his wacked-out thoughts on solving of life’s quandaries. Burbank still calls Kentucky home. Like Pitts, Burbank loves to fish.
